Ive been enjoying your product for well over a decade now.
Currently I have a 28oz bottle a day habit, specifically with the
diet...Thanks for getting me through tough days
I visited New York for the first time three
years ago. Upon my stay there I enjoyed
Manhattan Special for the first time. I just
wish that it was sold in my home in Pittsburgh.
With the introduction of "Coca-Cola Blak", I am
worried that the Coca-Cola Company will try to
replace them.
Great stuff!!! Love M.S. In the central Jersey

I was born and raised in Brooklyn and am
currently living in Florida. As a kid you
couldn't eat a hero without a Manhattan Special.
We found a place in FLA that sells Manhattan
Special, but it is quite a distance away. Could
we order Manhattan Special directly? medical

Say, born and raised in the Red Hook area of
Brooklyn, these drinks were our saturday favorite
when shopping. A Parnell with a Manhattan Special
was the best. Moved to North Carolina...many
years later and came across the drink at an
Italian Deli in Cornelis...You KNOW we'll be back
for more. Thank you for a touch of the "Old
Neighborhood".
"The Best" I have been drinking Manhattan
Special since I was a child and it cost 10 cents
a bottle....I wish that more store in the area
would carry it. Have to go to Mulberry St. New
York to find it now.
I lived in the Bronx, New York for many years and
enjoyed Manhattan Special alot. Since I moved to
Greenwich, CT I haven't seen it in the stores. I
sure do miss that taste! I'm still looking for a
store that sells it in my area. Or better yet,
maybe I can find someplace that will sell me a
case of it to have on hand. Anyone know where I
can get a case?
I was just at the Jersey Shore, Belmar/Spring
Lake/Avon, and I had my first Manhattan Special
(espresso, original). What a delicious drink!
I live in the Midwest and hope to find it around
here. But if not, I'll certainly enjoy one on my
next trip to the Jersey Shore. Thanks for such
a great drink!
Moving to Phoenix in 6 months, and this drink
will be missed! Does anyone know any spots in the
Maricopa area that sell it? can also be reached

growing up in new york city in a italian
neighborhood we all drank this wonderful drink
with milk or just plain it was a shame when i
moved upstate ny and nobody heard of it so
unless i make a 5 hour trip down to the city i
can not have my manhattan special that i so love.
While I have been a great fan of Manhattan
Special all my life (born in the bronx), I
recently introduced Manhattan Special to my
family from Hawaii on there recent visit to NY.
Well they absolutely fell in love with your
product ! I have had to ship it to them since
they left for Honolulu.
It's great that in a time when coffee is so
in "vouge", that the best coffee beverage out
there is Manhattan Special.
Your soda still brings back the good old days.
Your Diet Manhattan Special tastes great. All
the best, Ciao Gianni
I was introduced to the original Coffee Soda
last night and I am already promoting it to my
friends who also enjoy an Espresso. Living in
Florida a chilled Espresso is always a good time.
the best soda I have ever tasted not too sweet
and taste like the flavor it says, thanks.Peace!
I love manhattan special. i remember always
having it when visiting my grandparents in
brooklyn. I live in nj for 50 yrs so always
depended on my ny relatives to keep me supplied.
today i found a pizza place close to home that
has the 10oz glass bottles. I was so happy about
the soda, i couldnt tell you how the food was!!!
I just wish there was a retailer close to home.
There is only one word that sums up Manhattan
Special.......Tradition
I am 32 years old and have been drinking
Manhattan Special since I was a fetus!!! So for
me it means tradition, it means "Home". As a kid
growing up in Brooklyn after running around
outside playing skelsies we would run into Aunt
Antoinette's apartment (cause she was the closest
being on the bottom floor of the brownstone) and
grab a Manhattan Special from the bottom shelf of
her fridge. To this day Aunt Ann who is now 95
years old, God Bless her, open the fridge and
reach on the bottom shelf and you'll still find
it there!!!
Or even better yet, go to the Panelle Store on
Union St., get yourself a potato/panelle special
or a rice ball with sauce and from the soda
fountain you will be served Manhattan Special!!!
These are the traditions I grew up with, these
are what I plan to pass on to my son (presently 6
mos old). But even at 6 mos old he already had
his first taste, and he liked it!!
Thanks for 32+ years of Home and I pray for
another 132+ years
Born & raised in Brooklyn. LOVE Manhattan Special
and am thrilled there is a diet decaffinated
version. Parents livew in NJ and I bring back
several bottles each time I visit. Would love to
find a place in Fl. Thanks for continuing to make
a great product.
MY family and I HAVE BEEN DRINKING MANATTAN
SPECIALS,For many years and i will always
remember sitting around the block on my steps in
the summertime drinking it. Want to tell you it's
the best i had ever tasted.I come frome a family
of 7 chrildren. And we all drank it i love in
Long Island now with my chrildren. And no one
here sells it i am upset about that iI use to
drive to new york city just to buy it and shop of
course. Wish there was a store here i could be
able to buy it at.
Thank Y ou So Much for the Memeorys,
Yours Truely

neighboorhood! long live manhattan special, and
the best place to grow up! carmine12@hotmail.com
In the sixties and seventies holidays usually
found my family at my dad's Uncle Andy and Aunt
Agnes' house in Brooklyn, and one of the things I
always remember is helping Uncle Andy get sodas
from his store room... the 64 oz bottles of Lemon
Lime or Ginger Ale from some beverage place, but
that was for the guests at the table. He and I
would grab a small bottle of Manhattan Special
each. I finally found someplace that sells it in
North Carolina. It takes me right back to Uncle
Andy's storeroom in Brooklyn. www.tdevito.com
When we travel back to Williamsburg Brooklyn to
visit our family, we always take back some of
your your coffee soda.
( this trip it was a case and two four packs.)
I've been drinking it for most of my fifty
eight years.
Childhood memories of ,Brooklyn, the knish man on
his tricycle, Manhattan Special and listening
to "Tuddy " Ferrara's great voice are
revitalized yearly with a twist of the cap.
Thanks for the memories.
I just want to say how happy I am that they make
this coffe soda in diet and now I just found out
on the web site that it is made in diet decaf.
"MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS" Every time I come
back home to visit my familia in the garden
state of New Jersey, I order a few bottles of
this great drink at our favorite deli. It takes
me back to when I would have it with eggplant
parmesano and other delicious Italain food. As
the Singing Chef, www.singingchef.com, I
recommend it to everyone.
I believe that my grandfather was a close friend
to yours. His name was Ciro. I grew up on
Ainslie St in Brooklyn and for years enjoyed
walking to Metropolitan Ave to the warehouse to
get some Manhattan Special. It always brings
back fond memories whenever I can get a bottle.
Out here in California, it's a little difficult.
Everytime my sister comes home from Florida the
family gets together and has Manhattan Special
with Salami sandwiches. Its our favorite drink.
Your products take me back to my good ole New
York Days! Love It!!
Centerville Ma,
I just had my first Manhattan Special Espresso
Coffee Soda....Delicious!
A Co-Worker brought me in a bottle,advised not
to drink it after 9:00 PM on a work night!
I've put in a request in your retail locator.I
sure hope I can find out way out west, here in San
Francisco,Ca.
I lived in Brooklyn in the mid 80's, and
discovered your espresso soda at the time. For
me the perfect dessert after a long day's slog
was an ice cream float made from Manhattan
Special espresso soda and Schrafft's fudge ripple
ice cream. As far as I knew, both products were
only available in NYC.
My family comes from Brooklyn and almost every
store in the area carried your soda. It is a
delicious tradition and I buy it whenever I get
a chance.
Love your soda since I was a kid. Most of the
old stores in the neighborhood are gone now and
its hard to find. Wheneven I do find it I buy a
case.
Bronx, NY
Manhattan coffee soda is awesome!
GREAT WEBSITE! MANHATTAN SPECIAL COFFEE SODA IS
THE BEST DRINK EVER MADE!!!
Originally from New York, I know all
about "Manhattan Special". The first thing I ask
for when relatives are visiting from NY, bring me
some Manhattan Special. I love the stuff. Its
hard to find here on the West Coast.
I'm an actor and singer. I have been in many
films and TV shows. My late father Antonio
introduced me to Manhattan Speacial when I was
child in Newark, NJ. I travel all over the world
to do films. I am sceduled to do a film with
Giancaro Gianinni in Fornelli, Italy in 2006.
When I was with Giancarlo recently in Italy, I
mentioned that my father always had Manhattan
Special in our home. We used to get the soda
delivered right from Manhattan Special from
Brooklyn to our home. My father ran a Sicilian
Social Club in Newark, and they used to sell
Manhattan Special at the club. It was their
biggest seller. I recently had a chance to have
a Manhattan Special (coffee soda as I knew it)
in NMw York at a Director's home. It brought
back many good memoroies of my favorite soda as
a kid. I reall am looking forward to getting it
in my preaent home town of Toms River, Nj, or
nearby. The only difference now is that it MUST
BE DECAF. Thank you for all the happy moments.

I have been missing your soda since I was a
kid. My dad also went through Ellis Island when
he arrived in America from Norway. I seen your
drink on the Food Network Television Show and
decided to look you up on the Internet. I
didn't know you were still around. Thanks!!!
I am so happy to have found this website
Help! Does anyone know where I can find the 32
oz bottles of diet Manhattan Special in
Fairfield county, Ct?
Today is Columbus Day! What better way to
celebrate with a bottle of Manhattan Special.

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your site today. I
can't wait to hear from you as to a retailer in
my Southern California area where I can buy

A very touching website, beautiful site
Your site contain many of useful information for me. Thanks
Nice site - lots of good info.
Wow, there wasn't a website before but now I'm
thrilled that there is one. Great to finally
see it in action. I was worried that Manhattan
Specials were dying out because all my retailers
stopp carrying them (except for pizzerias), but
that's not the case now.
Anyways, keep up the great work and hope
Manhattan Special sticks around for a very long
time!

One of the hardest things to get incounry is
good coffee and MS hits the spot. Here in Iraq
where mail from home can sometimes take 10 - 14
days to arrive, the monthly treat of MS is a
highlight of mailcall.

I grew up in Manhattan and have been drinking the
original Espresso since 12 years old. I am now 48
and still its my favorate drink. But i still cant
belive that there are people that never heard of
it before.
Searched and Surfed your page great work
Nice web site I enjoyed reading. I wish you and your family the best of luck.
Searched and Surfed your page great work
The first time I had a MS was at Sadie's Candy
Store on Harway Ave, Brooklyn. It became a daily
ritual for the SAdie Boys, MS & a bag of chips.
Now in Staten Italy, diet ms & no chips, its
still great.
causi
I grew up in the area and also on Manhattan
Special Coffee soda which we used to drink after

This is the first time i logged on to your web site. It is very creative and nice
Dear Sirs: I just wanted to take the time to
write and thank you very much for a really great
product. I am also very happy to see that you did
not get sucked into using cheaper ingredients in
your product like so many food manufactors are
using in there's. It's unfortunate that the
general public does not relize how harmful
Frutose Corn Syrup is. This stuff is not even
made from corn. It is made from a type of wood
pulp. This is not even food. But anyway I have
been drinking your Manhattan Special since I was
a kid growing up in Newark. Just about every
Saturday I would go to the local Italian hot dog
and sausage store. I would always get a double
sausage with everything on it and a couple of
Manhattan Special sodas. When I left Newark and
moved to the shore area I was very pleased to
find an Italian Deli who sold your product. Both
my sons also love your soda. Please don't ever
change you recipe, and thank you again for a
great tradition.
I HAD MANHATTAN SPECIAL IN 1945 ON THE LOWER
EAST SIDE ELIZABETH STREET.
Im 47 and grew up in Williamsburgh Brooklyn,
home of the best coffee soda in the world.
Instead of enfamil my Mother put Manhatten
Special Coffee in my bottle and now? Pick-up 2
cases a month...cant live without it! Youre the
best!!Accept no imitations
Mr Paull, I read your message about being Vegas
bound. I did actually find Manhatten Specials at
a little pizza place on Windmill and Eastern
called Verrazano's. I had one today. I was in
heaven. Pizza wasn't bad either.
I have been drinking MS since the 1940's in Bay
Ridge, Brooklyn NY. I now live in Florida and
still enjoy a bottle when I can find the sugar
free. There is no soda that taste as good as MS.
Whenever I drive up to NY I always buy a case of
the large no sugar bottles to bring south with
me.
I grew up in Brooklyn on Metropolitan av, right
around the corner from the original MS bottling
company. Needless to say, all we drank is MS.
When I moved to Calif in 74, I found a place in
Santa Monica (Grizzly Products)that sold it for
a while. The last time I had one is when I went
to Florida to visit family in the late 90's. Now
I have retired and am moving to Las Vegas. It
sure would be nice to retire with some MS in the
fridge!Anyone know of any outlets in Las Vegas.
hi everyone,
this site is great.

I had my first Espresso Soda 2 weeks ago. I
went to a store named "Beers of the World"
located 70 miles from my home and spotted the
soda. I am upset that I only bought one. I
drank half and brought the other half back to my
friend because she and I are coffee freaks. I
hope I can find this closer to home. If not I
will be taking a cooler with me and making the
trip back to Rochester.
I'd grown up drinking your soda and when I moved
away from New York I had a hard time finding it;
especially in Atlanta. I've had better luck in
Denver. I have to travel at least 10 miles to
find a retailor but I think it is worth it.
Wow! I discovered Manhattan Special at GALCO's on
a trip to Los Angeles and instantly fell in love
with the drink. I'm looking forward to finding out
where i can get it when i get back home to
Atlanta. It's delicious!
I love MS. Having such a hard time finding it in
Upstate, NY. There is nothing better than a tall
glass of MS with Vanilla Ice Cream in it. I grew
up in the Bronx, drinking it all the time. Maybe
home delivery would be a good idea.
I am not a soda drinker by nature. I love coffee.
I discovered your product in an old fashion
italian deli in New Jersey and I find myself
making excuses to go there often - not for the
sandwiches (which are very good), but to have an
Espresso Coffee Soda. This is the best soda I
have ever tasted.
I have always enjoyed MS from way back in the
day, born and raised in the City of Newark
N.J.every store on every corner sold this. Not so
easy to find now,I was buying it buy the quart at
the butchers but there gone to.Even when I make
it like my Nona did from pot to freezer it's just
not the same, why not sell it for home delivery???
Thanks for still being here!!!!!
I grew up on manhattan special from around 2 years
old...Definately the best combination of Coffee
and Happiness...and is still until this day the
only type of soda I will drink...
Keep up the great work..
A willy B boy..
We live in Pasco County FL and found MS at 3 Italian Deli's locally.
Had it today and WOW what a nostalgic memory this soda brought
about. Cost was less than a dime and now $2.25 at deli but worth it
just to be back in the Bronx and Manhattan if only thru a sip!!!
Thanks for this website and guestbook.
I tasted my first espresso soda today. WOW! What
have I been missing all these years! Very
refreshing, and a great alternative to regular
soda. I want more!
I grow up right their on Manhattan Ave, two
blocks from your factory. In fact, my Mom still
lives there. I am in Virginia now and need a
coffee soda real bad. When I go to visit Mom I
try to buy several bottles to bring home. We use
to got to Our Lady Of Mount Cameral Feast and
their use to be a candy store on North 7th
Street where my family would go and have a soda
and enjoy the feast. My drink was always a MS.
Need to known where I can get some. Thank you
As someone who grew up in East Harlem in the 40's and 50's I had an uncle that had a shanty @ 108 and 2nd Ave. and i remember as a child visiting him and having many Ms. As a resident of Hudson FL I'd like to know where in my area I can purchase Ms. robert
forsmann_pete@hotmail.com
Just had my first MS and it was great. A friend at work buys them in his home town and brought one in for me. Now, so I don't have to bother him all the time, is there a retailer in the Time's Square area of NYC?
What can I say, I grew up on Manhattan Special.Daddy probably fused it into my blood. ManhattanSpecial is the best, and I give everyone out onhere on Long Island strange looks whenever theydon't know what it is. I wear my jacket proudly!
I GREW UP IN THE BRONX AND i PRESENTLY LIVE IN CALIFORNIA...I HAVE SUCH FOND MEMORIES OF MS WITH MY BIG ITALIAN FAMILY AS WE ATE MORTADELLA AND SOPRASATA HEROES AND MS WAS SUCH A DELICIOUS AND WONDERFUL MEMORY....FORGET STARBUCKS! I WANT MS IN MY AREA!NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA
I was born and raised in Brooklyn and growing upin an Italian family had the pleasure of beingable to drink MS. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ! I got asmall bottle today in Cooperstown and shared itwith my kids they love it too. I think thecompany needs to start distributing it to morestores in more states.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn (Douglas andSmith St) and grew up on MS. The worlds bestdrink. I know have a cattle ranch in AZ and noone here knows what I'm talking about. I can'teven find it in CA. I just brought back 10bottles stuffed in my carry on luggage when Ireturned from a trip to NY. Fortunately airportsecurity didn't try to confiscate them, theremight have been trouble.
I read Madeleine's note and I too grew up in East Harlem on117th street back the 40's. I loved MS and it was one of my besttreats along with pizza from Rao's and the black & white cookiesfrom the local bakery. Along with the best Italian pastries youcan't beat the taste of Manhattan Special. So I was sitting herewatching television and all of a sudden I got this urge for MS andwondered if you were still around. You are and here I am in NJhoping I can find a retailer near me. I did submit my requestfor a local retailer. It's nice to know there are some good thingsstill left.
Just had my first bottle of espresso yesterdayat a restaurant and am going to change fromStarbucks frappuchio to you guys if I can find aretailer. Glad to have found you!!!!
